When Angie sees a need in her community, she steps up, does the hard work and partners with everyone. When Angie’s local union needed a new president, Angie stepped into that role. When she wanted to bring a parent’s perspective to Albert Lea schools, Angie ran for and was elected to the school board. When the Albert Lea hospital was losing services, Angie worked as the Local Organizing Chair of Save Our Hospital. When the Albert Lea Human Rights Commission lapsed, Angie pushed to restart it and now serves on the HRC board. Angie has worked alongside others to support her community. She wants to continue this work as your Senator.
Growing up in rural Minnesota, Angie has seen everything that our communities have lost. Everyone is working harder for less. Our elected officials in St. Paul are ignoring rural Minnesota, and rural communities aren’t getting what they deserve. Rural Minnesota needs a strong voice in the legislature, someone who is willing to stand up and fight. Angie wants to fight for you.
